The lone pillow fighter

At least someone in Melbourne showed up with a pillow, though he didn't have anyone to hit with it

It appears that a few people showed up, with hidden pillows, so it came close to happening. Maybe next time the pillows will come out of hiding

March 27

bah humbug Melbourne

That was just embarrasing.

Though the market, which I had no idea was going to be on,  and the protest March down Swanston Street at about 1.58pm, with its attachment of Victoria Police, probably didn't help.

But then again, maybe Melbourne just wasn't ready for its moment in the Pillow Fighting spotlight???

I think its time to give Sydney a turn next.

But don't worry Melbourne, as The Terminator said, "I'll be back".

Best wishes from The Instigator

We just recieved an email from "The Instigator", the person behind the huge pillow fight that was held in San Fransisco recently which had over 1000 people attend. That's a lot of pillow swinging going on.

"Best of luck to you!!! I hope it turns out awesome"

C'mon pillow fighters, get ready for a great pillow fight

ATTENTION: DATE CHANGE

As the interest has only really just started to pick up for the Melbourne Pillow Fight, i have decided to move the date by excatly one week to ensure that we have more than eight or nine people swinging the pillow.

So the new details are as follows:
Time & Date: 2pm, Saturday the 25th of March, 2006
Location: TBA

Go and tell all of your friends (pick one of them or tell them all), mention it in your blog (if you have one), talk about it on the national TV show you host (if you have one of those) or write a song about it for your band (or your friends band), just start spreading the word about it.

And don't forget, if you are interested in attending send me an email and i'll inform you of the location closer to the day.

C'mon Melbourne...get those pillows ready.

URGENT: More Pillow Fighters needed

Hello

Hello

Hello

Is anybody out there?

C'mon...i thought you all wanted to swing the pillow? But by the response i have had so far it certainly doesn't look like it.

"#"  people does not make for a great public event like a pillow fight during the middle of the Commonwealth Games  folks, so you all better email if you plan on attending this weekend or i may have to shuffle the event, which would be such a shame.

Pillow fighting...Melbourne style

With all of the Pillow Fights going on around the world at the moment, it's time that Australia got in on the act, and what could be a better time and place to hold one than in Melbourne during the month of March, when the eyes of the world are focused on our great town because of the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

The Commonwealth Games are running between the 15th and the 26th of March, so I figure that a date close to the middle of it, like early in the afternoon on Saturday the 18th of March, would be perfect.

Now what would be a good location I hear you ask? While an MCG full of people belting each other with pillows would be a pretty impressive site, you would all have to buy tickets just to get in, and that is probably asking a little too much of anyone that would want to take part. I have a few idea's that I will keep to myself at the moment, but it's pretty safe to say it will be in a prominent and easy-to-find location.

Time & Date: 2pm, Saturday the 18th of March, 2006
Location: TBA

If you are interested in taking part, log your interest by commenting on this post, and send me an email so I can keep you informed of the final details and the location. I promise I won't sell your email address to someone in Outer Mongolia who will try and get you to buy viagra.

And if you are going to come along and take part in the fun, DO NOT FORGET TO READ AND FOLLOW the rules of Pillow Fight Club. Let's make this a fun and memorable occasion for all involved.
